Getting started in Blackjack or online blackjack requires not only an understanding of the method of play, but also an understanding of how this method is put into action at the blackjack tables. Blackjack tables are set up in a half circle shape, where the dealer stands in the middle of the flat edge of the blackjack table. As any of these rules can vary for different blackjack tables, always take a look before you sit at a blackjack. The next thing to look for when or before you sit down is the blackjack table minimum: the least you can bet on a single hand. It is also important to take note of the blackjack table maximum.

Any of blackjack tables can accommodate no more than 7 players. Closest to the dealer will be the chip rack, where all of the Blackjack chips are stored; followed by the spot where the dealer places his cards. Then, in a semi-circle, the Blackjack players have their spot on the blackjack table to lay down their bets, and closest to the players, is a white square box where the dealer lays the players cards.
